Do your emails arrive? A look at the DNS.
Whether an email lands in the inbox or in spam often depends on four records in your domain’s DNS. The mail check reads them and tells you in plain words what is missing.
Check a domain
What the four records mean.
MX
Tells other mail servers which server receives email for your domain.
SPF
Names the servers allowed to send on behalf of your domain.
DKIM
A public key recipients use to check the signature of your emails.
DMARC
Sets what should happen to emails that fail SPF and DKIM.
What the check does not tell you: whether your mail server is on a blocklist, whether a particular email arrived, or whether the records match the server that actually sends. It shows what is in the DNS.
