Install WordPress.
From an empty domain to a ready WordPress installation – with the application assistant in the customer center. Database, files and setup are on us.
What you need
An active web hosting package and a domain that already points to your webspace – or your standard address, which every package has from the start. The application assistant does the rest: it fetches WordPress straight from the vendor, verifies it against the vendor's checksum and creates the database itself.
The folder of the domain must be empty. If something is already there, the assistant stops and names what it found – nothing is ever overwritten without your okay.
Open the application assistant
Sign in to the customer center and open Webspace → Applications.
Choose WordPress
Choose WordPress (or WooCommerce if you want a shop right away) and click "Next".
Choose the domain
Choose the domain the website should run on. The assistant creates the database itself – nothing to set up by hand.
Set name and admin login
Enter the name of the website and choose a user name, a strong password and your email address. Do not use "admin" as the name. After a few minutes you will find the login at your-domain.com/wp-admin.
Check the certificate
We issue the free SSL certificate automatically as soon as the domain points to us – how to check it is in the guide “Enable SSL”.
