Activate an SSL certificate.
Encrypt your website with a free Let’s Encrypt certificate – included in every hosting plan, active in a few minutes.
A must, not a nice-to-have
Without SSL, browsers show a “Not secure” warning, and Google ranks the site lower. With a certificate, data is encrypted, the padlock appears – and your ranking benefits.
Open the domain in the customer center
Sign in to the customer center, go to Webspace → Domains and open the settings of the domain you want.
Activate Let’s Encrypt
When a domain is added we activate Let’s Encrypt automatically. If the “SSL (Let’s Encrypt)” switch is off, turn it on and save. Issuance and renewal then happen automatically as soon as the domain points to our server.
Force a secure connection
In the same settings, enable “Force HTTPS”. That way all visitors automatically land on the encrypted version.
Check
Open your site using https:// – the padlock should appear. Renewal then runs automatically, without any action on your part.
